Mountain Biking

Morzine is one of the best areas in the whole of Europe for mountain biking. With over 1000km of trails, fantastic bike facilities, world cup & novice downhill courses it is ideal for all abilities from beginners to the advanced riders.
Adventure Park

Feel like Tarzan as you swing between the trees on ropes, ladders, swings, aerial runways, cargo nets and rope bridges in these tree top games at the adventure park in Morzine. Wearing a harness and helmet you clamber around in this tree top adventure playground built for both the adults and the kids. Outstanding fun.
Canyoning

This is a highly exhilarating mountain sport for those with a bit of bottle! It involves abseiling, walking, climbing, swimming, jumping and sliding along the gorges and canyons of a mountain river. Wearing a wetsuit, helmet and harness whilst accompanied by a fully qualified guide this sport is high in thrills and the spirit of adventure. This unusual way to see the mountain environment gives a lovely opportunity to cool off in the summer sun and usually fuels story telling for the rest of your holiday! The Canyoning on offer in Morzine finishes down the stunning cascade de Nyon and is suitable for everyone from 12 years upwards.
Climbing
Rock Climbing is an exciting and absorbing sport for those with a head for heights. The Alps are the perfect place to go climbing, as the birthplace of the sport. Scale rock faces using your hands and feet to balance on the rock whilst being safely held by a harness and ropes. On reaching the summit, don't forget to admire the fabulous views and bask in that feeling of achievement before you abseil or walk back down to the bottom where you can choose your next route!
Ice climbing, Glacier walking and Mountaineering are all-available in nearby Chamonix. We can arrange day trips for you to try these elements of the sport and if you are experienced then mountaineering trips to climb Mont Blanc and other famous peaks can be arranged, however, mountain guides must be booked well in advance since there is great demand for this service.
Donkey Trekking
Take your younger children on a donkey trek high up to a mountain farm and keep them smiling for days. Accompanied by a hiking parent and a guide, you lead your child’s donkey to an authentic working cheese farm high in the mountain pastures for a refreshing drink and an introduction to the cheese-making process the animals and who roam freely around the farm.
Fantasticable
This activity is only for the really brave! Fantasticable is an aerial runway that spans two valleys and sends you soaring head first and horizontally (yes true superman style!) down the two valleys at speeds of up to 90kmph. It really is the ultimate white-knuckle adrenalin filled ride.
Horse Riding
Admire the stunning scenery from the back of a trusty steed, what a fabulous way to enjoy the mountains! Take guided excursions in the mountains and valleys on this exciting and romantic method of transport.
Hydro speeding
Put on a big thick wetsuit, helmet and wet boots ready to surf down the rapids of the River Dranse on a big polystyrene float. Brave the fast rapids and eddies and recover in the calmer pools of water before you tackle the next challenge! Although it is necessary to be a strong swimmer the thrills and adrenalin produced during this sport is second to none!
Ice Skating
Try ice-skating in the year round ice rink in Morzine. Glide around like Torvil and Dean to your hearts content for a gentle alpine activity.
Kayaking
Kayaking and canoeing are available in gentle and exciting forms in Morzine. Hire a kayak for a gentle paddle around on Lake Montriond or take a hot dog for 2 people down the white water rapids of the River Dranse under the watchful eyes of a guide.
Mountain Boarding
This activity is full of fun and guarantees laughs. Hop onto a long skateboard with big wheels and head downhill! When you have the hang of it, try jumping and carving in a similar manner to snowboarding.
Parapenting
If you enjoy the views on offer in the mountains then the next best way to see them is from a canopy in the sky gliding high on the thermals! Your pilot will strap you into a harness with him and then you just run down a gentle slope and take off into the air. The pilot will fly the parapente so you can enjoy the views and ride high on the adrenalin. When you are up it is actually very peaceful and you rise and fall as you catch the thermals. To land the pilot brings you down very slowly so you simply step onto the field. If you are feeling adventurous then ask for a spin to experience some of the basic acrobatics.
Biking
Quad biking is a good fun activity to enjoy in the Alps. After a brief training session ride the quads around a set circuit with tricky areas and fast straights. Good fun for everyone!
Road Cycling
This area is also popular for the unbeatable road riding around the beautiful alpine villages. There are endless routes and many tough cols including the 2003 Tour de France stage that finished in Morzine.
Skate boarding
Take your skateboard to one of the best skate park in the Alps! Morzine has a great skateboard park with rail, half pipe and ramp.
Swimming
Morzine has a fantastic outdoor Olympic swimming pool complex. There is a children's play area with slide, bouncy castle, volleyball, table tennis and a café/ restaurant at which you can buy refreshments throughout the day.
You can also swim at the beautiful azure blue Lake Montriond that has a swimming area and also lovely grassy areas where you can picnic and relax.
Tennis
Near to the swimming complex are many hard tarmac tennis courts for serious matches, more relaxed doubles or a knock around for all members of the family.
Via Ferrata

For those with a head for heights challenge yourself on the Via Ferrata for great routes up rock faces using ropes, rails, ladders, pegs and chains which were designed during the war to allow troops to pass the mountains more easily. Somewhere between climbing and scrambling Via Ferrata is an exciting activity that allows even beginners to experience some of the feelings of exposure and mountain views only usually experienced by good climbers.
Via Ferrata is special because it allows people to move through the mountains with a minimum of equipment and no special skills. All Via Ferrata trips are guided excursions.
Water-skiing and Wakeboarding
A full days fun on Lake Geneva. Wet suits and tuition provided, lovley beach to relax on with restaurants and coffee shops. Minimum age 6 years old.

There are several places in the nearby area in which you can fish; Lac Mines d’Or, Lac Montriond, Lac Plan du Rocher... You can also fish the River Dranse, which runs from Morzine to Evian, in which the much sought after Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) trout spawn their eggs.
You must, however, ensure that you have the correct fishing permit and are aware of the local fishing regulations
Glacier Walking

For a truly unique experience, clamp on your crampons and go hiking on one of the many glaciers in the surrounding area. The breathtaking views and spectacular crevasses make this an incredible adventure. There are a number of glacial hikes, of varying difficulty, in this region of the Alps. Most mountain guiding companies will run organised excursions to the most accessible.
